Register Kolide

Kolide is a platform trust application we are rolling out for everyone. This will allow us to check the device’s security posture at a login stage.

Click the Kolide icon, then select “Register Device”. This will open a registration website where you should log in with your ProblemShared account. Follow the instructions until registration is confirmed.

AppStore

Managed AppleIDs (your @problemshared.net AppleID) can't donwload apps in the AppStore.

You can sign in using your personal AppleID in the App Store

1Password

We use 1Password as our password management solution and everyone has access to their own account. You should have received an invitation to register using your ProblemShared Microsoft account. This will allow you to log in to the application on your new laptop.

Microsoft Applications

Microsoft applications are automatically installed and updated when you start your Mac for the first time. If the “Post Setup” registration was successful, your account should be displayed when you open the applications for the first time, making the sign-in process much quicker.

OneDrive Desktop and Documents Backup

To prevent data leakage, iCloud file sharing is disabled, so we enable OneDrive Desktop and Document backups automatically during the initial setup.

Admin By Request

When you first start your MacBook, your user is an Administrator, but these permissions are revoked within the first 24 hours. You can use AdminByRequest to have administrative permissions if you need to install some applications.

Actions performed during administrative session ~are logged~
